Campaign Story

My name is Katie, and my husband Dustin and I have always dreamed of becoming parents. Since we met, creating a family together has been the foundation of our relationship; there is nothing we want more together. But earlier this year, we learned that due to Dustin’s Cystic Fibrosis, we cannot conceive naturally. It was a heartbreaking reality to face, but we held onto hope that fertility treatments could help us build our family.

We’ve spent the last couple of years trying to have a baby, not realizing it wasn’t possible without intervention. When we met with a fertility clinic this summer, we felt a surge of hope and excitement. But the journey has been filled with emotional and financial hurdles we never expected. Every time we thought we were close to starting IVF, another obstacle appeared. Dustin had to undergo a TESA procedure, which isn’t typically part of IVF and wasn’t covered by insurance. We paid for it entirely out of pocket, draining our health savings account — the funds we had set aside for my fertility medications.

Now, we’re at a standstill. We’re so close to starting IVF, but we can’t move forward without help covering the cost of medications. We’re humbly asking for your support to help us take this next step. Any contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to the family we’ve been dreaming of.

Thank you for considering our story. Your generosity gives us hope, and one day, we hope to share the joy of our future child with you.
